Open Contracts recently won the contract for the refurbishment works at Mountbatten House. These works consisted of a Cat A refurbishment of the 40,000 sq ft area including the reception, 2nd floor, 4th floor, WC’s and common parts. (Including full replacement of ceilings, floors and lights.) A new external canopy was also constructed.
The offices and reception were stripped out ready for the installation of new supply ducting and grills for the air conditioning. Modifications were made to the fresh air supplies and full validations completed for the existing fan coil units. A new lighting scheme was introduced and new suspended ceilings were added. Repairs and modifications were made to the raised access floor before new carpets, new oak veneer access doors were added and the areas redecorated.
The works to the reception included significant refurbishment with a new bespoke reception desk and joinery detailing.
The WC’s were stripped out and new panelling and cubicle systems installed. New Corian vanity tops were also fitted. New tiling was added and the areas redecorated.
Externally the building was steam cleaned and a new entrance façade was erected using glazed curtain walling, rain screen cladding and a new single entrance door.
