Description:

St Clare House provides high specification office accommodation arranged over lower ground, ground and twelve upper floors.

Open Contracts were appointed to carry out the major refurbishment of the Ground Floor reception area to this prestigious building.

Scope:

The original entrance area and lift lobby were very restricted and out of keeping with the scale of St Clare House.

After a separate services enabling contract, we created a temporary building reception and stripped out existing WC’s and storage areas to create a much larger shell. New services were installed including air conditioning, mechanical ventilation and a concealed over entrance warm air curtain. A split level ceiling was built with coffered lighting and sections of removable panelling .

New WCs were formed to the rear of the reception area and finished in bamboo panelling, coloured glass and other high quality finishes to match the rest of the building.

To the main area white lacquer and bamboo panelling was used, with large format store floor tiles and polished plaster to areas of walls and ceiling.

The works were executed with the entrance mainly kept in use and phased to accommodate the needs of the client and their tenants.
